Extreme Makeover: Disney Edition
MAIN STREET CONFECTIONARY REFURB
With the preparation of the World’s Most Magical Celebration at the Walt Disney World Resort, comes a fresh coat of paint, all the sparkle, and makeovers galore! Disney Parks Blog tells us this refurb is sure to bring some fun new experiences.
My first and last stop when I visit the Magic Kingdom is always the confectionary! What can I say? I am absolutely enamored with all the smells and sweet treats. I love stopping by to watch the delightful cast members create works of art and to pick their brain about the latest treats.
With the makeover, imagineers will bring a fresh new look, an expanded layout (yay more room for treats!), and INTERACTIVE opportunities that will allow guests to customize their confections! WOW! This makes me so giddy with joy!
In order to bring all these amazing concepts to life, The Confectionary and the adjoining shop The Chapeau shop have closed and started it’s transformation as of March 29th until June (as of now via the Disney Mobile app).
Worried about missing out on some of your favorite treats? Don’t fear, you can still find many of your sweet tooth faves available at The Emporium and Main Street Cinema. If you’re looking for your favorite Disney hats or famous Mouse ears those can be found across the street at Box Office Gifts, at the Town Square Theater. All collectibles and artwork will be located at Bonjour! Village Gifts near Gaston's Tavern while renovations occur.
Keep your eyes peeled for updates all over the kingdom. You may see fresh paint on a turret, 50th Anniversary decor, or a shimmering gold leaf or two added in Fantasyland.
My go-to treat before I leave the park for the day is an apple pie apple candy apple ALWAYS!
What is your MUST have treat whenever you visit The Confectionary?
