Wine Bar George
WHERE EVERYBODY KNOWS YOUR NAME…
That’s how I feel about Wine Bar George. It’s a MUST DO of mine whenever I’m back home in Orlando. I was so graciously hosted by my fave place to try out some absolutely DIVINE food and I can’t wait to tell you all about it! So let’s dive right in!
Located in the heart of Disney Springs, Wine Bar George (we will abbreviate to WBG) offers quite the menu, a rustic chic atmosphere, and the best service around ! I love to bring my family and friends here for a nice relaxing evening where I know I’ll be able to unwind and savor every last bite. Let’s take a deep dive into my latest culinary experience at this amazing spot!
What sets Wine Bar George apart from other places for me you ask? It’s attention to detail, the homey feeling, and George himself! You will often see Master Sommelier George Miliotes at the restaurant making sure your experience is just as divine as his menu! Fun fact: WBG is the only Sommelier-led wine bar in Florida! Also, I love that George’s journey with Disney began with him being part of the opening team of the California Grill restaurant at Disney’s Contemporary Resort. And now we get to indulge in his very own restaurant!
Okay I’m so ready! Let’s explore some of my favorite dishes! First up:
SMALL PLATES
These delectable Mac and Cheese Bites are absolutely THE best! Literally mac & cheese drizzled with tomato nage so good I didn’t want to share haha! It was a table fave and we could’ve filled up just on this!
Next up: Burrata which includes seasonal tomatoes, olive oil, and grilled bread, and this DELICIOUS cheese!
Finale: Our last small plate that we indulged in was the saganaki on fire. This is the food that puts on quite the show! I’ve had saganaki before and always look forward to it’s fun presentation
MAIN DISH
For our main dish we opted in for the skirt steak. It feeds two-four people which was perfect for us because we are all such small eaters! The skirt steak entrée includes: roasted potatoes, seasonal vegetables, and chimichurri. It was so delectable and again, did not last long on at our table haha!
DESSERT
We opted to take a walk on the wild side and try something totally new to our taste buds: Olive Oil Cake. This consists of candied olives and lemon mascarpone. I LOVE olives so this was pretty good to me! Their signature dessert, though, that you HAVE to have is their key lime pie! Both are a great choice but that one is my absolute fave. I will definitely be grabbing it next time!
